In the Bible we find terms, titles, and names that are used in a symbolic manner.  The “Fig Tree” is such a term. In this teaching that term and its usage will be traced through the Bible to see that it represents the Nation of Israel both past and present.  The term or word “Tree(s)” is used symbolically for nations.  The Fig is used to represent Israel along with other words such as Barley.  In Luke’s account the words “The Fig tree and all the trees” is prophetic of end-time Israel and her neighbors.
